LIGEIA
The Second Burning
RELEASED JANUARY 28TH, 2021
THE SWAMP
Pulled through deep waters
In a dream screams are song, there is surrender
THE DIRT / TO DIG
To touch the earth, to disrupt and break particles
To use song and sound as portals to explore the divine darkness, what lay within. Encompassing the unknowing. It is not a process of diving into the void with hand covered eyes for this would insinuate a mindlessness. But rather, with closed lids unraveling, unwrapping. An undoing of the tightly sewn veil. To undo is to dig for something buried, something once known then lost or forgotten.
But also, perhaps it is less about a divine darkness and more about the different selves I see swimming in that place. Drawing out a voice, for a time, even if that voice doesn’t know it can sing, doesn't know it can speak.
