 looper pedals?
whats best/cheapest? i want something that can record up min 20secs and then loop it, play over etc. i know dl4 can do it, and dd7 - any other options for something cheap-ish or any old ones you guys wanna sell me?

DL4 can only loop up to 14 seconds...or twenty eight if you get half time on that shiz. Maybe the boss RC20 is what you are looking for bowl.

Yeah man, I've used the whole boss range pretty extensively and if you want something you can actually use (I assume this is the case...) this go for the RC20. The RC2s are way too hard to use, way too hard to loop on the fly, hard to stop, etc.
Personally the only real difference I've found between the RC50 and the RC20 is that the 50 gives you multiple phrase options, you can drop em in and out and shit which is pretty cool, but like, just get a sampler. Or a controller if you're that way inclined.
RC20 dogg, all the way. Plenty of bang for your buck, easy as pie to use. Plus Eluvium uses one. The crop up on Trademe real often, probaby a couple hundred bucks but nothing astronomical.
I'd sell you Donnie's but he'd find out and I'd get in trouble.
