Even they didn't have RCA to 1/4"! I ended up having to get a 3.5 and then hoon another adaptor to that... The dick appears to have sold me a mono 1/4" though, despite my several comments that I specifically required stereo.

Also! I have just purchased a 1GB CompactFlash card so I have more memory to play with, and when I plug it in, the sampler refuses to turn on. At all. There must be something happening, when I turn it on my amp makes a sound, but no other response.

I can't find anything online saying this has happened to people. Apparently, if it's not compatible, the machine just won't recognise it, rather than not turn on.

Any thoughts anyone? This is staining me pretty hard.

Alright, so I fixed the memory card issue by doing the direct opposite of what the manufacturer explicitly tells you to do. Totally intuitive.

I think my stereo/mono befuddlement is coming from the 3.5/1/4" adapter steez. When both RCAs are plugged in, It's mono, but when only one is, it's stereo. There is clearly something I am missing here...but given my current understanding of cables...this should work...

Oh yeah....I should have mentioned that under no circumstances should you let any Jaycar staff try and help you. Your better off asking someone hanging around the counter waiting to be served, especially if they are browsing through the catalog.
